I haven't personally used it, but after my husband rehabbed our primary home's tile bathroom, I would totally consider it for our spare bathroom.

Then I keep the spares in a lock box.

So the end was he refinished two yellow knicked-up bathtubs, two speckled yellow tile enclosures, two yellow spare bath sinks and did his magic on the linoleum counters in the hall bath making them look like marble. 

I now have enough for a down payment and some to spare with the help of an FHA loan.

If your wife is doing this in spare time then its a bonus to be an asset to your mentor b/c he wont want to loose you when your in place so you have a lot to gain learning from him.

Besides real estate, I enjoy traveling, reading and playing tennis in my spare time.

Id consider selling mine if you have half mill to spare. 

I'll even go to auctions and buy spare appliances and extra furniture and put them in storage.  6 months go by and I find a great deal on a bank foreclosure. 

Please spare me about the working in vs. on your business, workman' comp, insurance etc.
