I checked rates and your scenario can be done with 3 discount points so that leads me to believe the broker has set their comp a little too high.

If you are going to say your loan down part of your return for your net worth -- it should also be discounted, considering it is money leaving your pocket.

My profit on this sale is slightly less than the requested discount so I am not willing to accept it.

I have notice quite a tremendous amount of properties listed for rent on zillow and they have been sitting nearly a year .   

I would also suggest forcing appreciation to reduce market speculation (property improvements, adding bedrooms, finding ways to increase rent, buying at a discount, etc).Good luck!

How does one find a "discounted property".

My thought process: - Pros: Probably can get it for a discount.

Most people just want someone to answer a call and immediately sell them a house at a discount.

It used to be much easier to find properties that were discounted for condition.
