Its not laminate but considered vinyl and thick enough to cover somewhat uneven floors but it made of this rubber material that cuts easy and is waterproof.

Some transactions are easy and I probably spend 40 hours all together, some are difficult and I could spend 200 hours on it, you don't know until you are in the thick of it.

John,doubt it would be from the tree, but you never know. if the sewer line runs under the slab, it may be that is a break in the line, it is leaking, and washing away the stone and soil under the slab. that slab must not be that thick for the slab to sink like that. are there any cracks in the floor ?

., one quick thingy: concrete floor sound index should be around 25 by itself.i think residential you have to be around 55-65 as a sum/wholefor your own good (or kids if you have or plan to have little ones) if floor not including heating, use something with thermal isolation properties (cork, other thick-ish substrates).your comfy-cozy feet will thank you in the winter.or just add rugs all around needed areas. just careful with back material (not to scratch wood/laminate from repeated moving actions).oh and calling @Linda Liberatore (does the @ thing works on new BP?).

Cover it with thick black plastic or weed guard, then a couple yards of mulch.

Hi All, I hear lots of great talk about Allure Ultra (interlocking and 5mm thick vs Allure which is GripStrip and 3.8 mm thick) but I only found 1 for $2.79/sq ft and it's on clearance.

I'm just trying to decide if investing a year's worth of time or so in actually doing the work, being in the thick and thin of the RE world (while also providing an income), would be worth the knowledge gained for my investing future...???

We also put in cross bracing to further insure the skids weren't going to move.If you have too much height between the concrete and the ceiling, make the adjustment via the height of the skids and the thickness of the subfloor.
