Hi BP,I just had some guys out doing some work on my siding and they informed me that there was some cracks along the edges of the cement staircase as well as the foundation that needed to be fixed (see images below).The contractor proposed to use foam backing rods as they would be able to expand/contract properly.

To try and mitigate this problem, we did install 1.5" of Poly Iso foam board on the exterior, and installed the Hardie board in a rain screen fashion for durability, but also to block the noise infiltration and help with the thermal bridging through the studs.

From what I have heard the 505's have been replaced by the 504 since 2016, but if your attorney says to go with a certain type of offering, certainly don't take what I think :)

The most dirty and frankly UNLIVABLE conditions happen during the following:Demo (especially ripping out lath/plaster or major sections of walls/insulation etc)Major Drywall Finishing WorkPainting leaves a lot of fumesIf you finish hardwood floors which I recommend although will depend on your local market in terms of preferences, you will have to clear out while the polyurethane dries, etc....Here's a few suggestionsDo NOT buy an air mattress, opt to spend a little more for one of those mattress toppers, the foam type.
