To leverage the equity for financing my next deal, a second mortgage seems like a more cost-effective option.

What would be my best approach, I assume find a private lender and work out some deal with them.All questions and answers will help thank you. private lender would be one option - also can you get traditional financing from a bank? 

@Jamie BatemanIf I understand what they do- it looms like they are just a middle man where someone wants financing on a property they find a lender for it and will create documentation.

While you work on that, you could also explore creative financing options like DSCR loans or partnerships to fast-track your first STR.
