She has been sending complaints to the city and to the HOA board.Of course these complaints do absolutely nothing because we are within our rights and following a contract.She was complaining that we did not have the right to fix our own property since we are not licensed.She thinks she owns the place and we are merely room service. 

For example, if they keep building further away from the city from where I live, the value of my home still increases. 

I have family in Kansas City, MO area so I thought that would be a good place to start since I could visit properties while visiting family.

Since my scenario uses essentially turn-key condition multi-family rentals in an appreciating market ( West Coast major city ).

One thing to watch out for is that Atlanta has significant short-term rental restrictions in place, and while Buckhead is trying to secede from the city of Atlanta's governance, it has not been successful in doing so. 

If there are only 2-3, then investigate and question GC.3) Check with your state's Attorney General's office for any complaints.4) Contact several City Building Depts in the area and ask for list of permits they've pulled.

Do a search on county assessors site and with the city to determine empty lot plans/issues.
