There are some constitutional challenges that might be effective; this really reminds me of exclusionary zoning laws that tried to keep out low-income housing.

Gently remind them that your are a real estate person who wants to do things the right way.

I really needed to be reminded that if a deal is found on the MLS, it doesn't necessarily mean that it's overpriced.

By the way, most land trust deals are perfectly legitimate, but my personal internal reminder is.......not all land trusts are scams, but most scammers use land trusts!

After dealing with a closing attorney selected by the buyer's mortgage company I was reminded yet again how excellent my attorney is.  

I am reminded of two investors who thought they were buying large cash flow producers.

@Jerome KlahYou can simply remind them of how lenders provide financing of up to 80% of the ARV when the seller purchase's or refi's their house.

But remind them it is your property.Options: put in performance criteria (pay 50% up front and 50% after 6 months if the tenant has paid on time each month, 25% if not... 0% if tenant is being evicted), etc.
