Dallas/Fort Worth- duplex or single family home help?

Hello everyone!
My brother and I are in the beginning stages of forming an investment company, and we've decided that duplexes (or possibly triplexes/4 plexes) is where we'd like to focus for our buy and hold strategy.
Does anyone have a preferred method of finding great deals? I've been looking through the MLS, and I'm having luck finding properties, but not necessarily great deals. Does anyone use wholesalers, and how does that work?
