@Dayne WintersHoboken (preferably Downtown),Jersey City (Anywhere off the "PATH" Train, note the Waterfront, Downtown, and Newport are nicer than Journal Square)Manhattan (anywhere really but the nicest areas are anywhere south of about 70th street)Queens (Long island city, or Astoria near a subway stop)Brooklyn (Downtown, Heights, Carroll Gardens, Park slope, Williamsburg, there are others but that's just the short list)Since your question is a bit limited I am unsure if this is business or vacation and if it is with children or without.

Worse case, if plan for the upside portion aren't approved, I would still see $400k once all is said and done.The only thing I am a little concerned about is the over-all political and economical climate of things in New Jersey... although this particular municipality has weathered the financial turmoil of the past exceptionally well due to proximity to NYC, etc.Is anyone on this site still playing in the New Jersey speculative market? 

I live in South Jersey but I’m wondering if any of you have ideas as to up and rising booming markets?

Interesting situation: have 3 rooms rented on the 2nd floor of a jersey city 2 family house, tenants started attacking me the landlord after 1-2 months of living in apt, claiming its a rooming house etc, withholding rent.

I wish I were, but I’m just waiting for my employer to relocate me to a less expensive area than New Jersey so that I can finally owner-occupy a home instead of renting.

I really prefer to be in Brooklyn for the convenience of being close, no crazy traffic congestion from Jersey residents clogging the SI expressway, and no tolls.I would like to discuss further though, how could I reach you?
