Again, I have 100% equity in the house.I was asked why I don't get a home equity loan and the reasons are 1) My credit probably shows me to be a "ghost" since I have not had any sort of credit in the last 7-8 years and 2) I have worked for myself for the last decade and my income is usually in cash so, it would be impossible to prove any consistent income.I never would have thought that getting a short term loan under my circumstances could be difficult to put together.

If your units are unwarrantable, it's going to make it harder (not impossible, just harder) to get a mortgage.  

It will be hard to convince an underwriter that you are married living separately, although not impossible with the right circumstances.

FInding HELOC in a non-occupied has become almost impossible...or you'll get killed on rates if you can find one.

Without knowing what your criteria is and what kind of numbers you're seeing, it's impossible to answer your question, however, if you're looking for deals, MLS isn't the place you're going to find them.

I'm willing to bet that your flooring contractor is charging per sq. foot which means he makes more money by doing it the easy way.I'll be doing a flooring job soon and the only place I will be putting the flooring underneath anything is in the bathroom where it will go under the toilet and vanity only because it would be virtually impossible to install the vinyl planks in the small spaces between them and the walls and the tub. 

I know that investing from overseas is more difficult but perhaps not impossible.  

I understand it’s pretty much impossible with today’s banking regulations, but just curious if anyone has pulled it off in the last 5-10 years?
