That would at least be SOMETHING, and so it might be better than leaving 1.25 million of equity just sitting on the table untapped, but it feels kind of disappointing because it ties up a huge chunk of equity and fails to fulfill either of my two main goals: generating monthly income, and serving as a significant vehicle for further expansion in the near term.Several apparent ideas I'm actually NOT interested in trying are: investing out of state, partnering with other investors, and expanding into parts of NYC that can still be called "bargain" areas (in the later phases of a multi-year superbubble like ours, such places tend to be mind-blowingly distressed and they are simply beyond my comfort zone).

I do not know the market expansion plans for all KW offices but I negotiated a mutually beneficial deal with a KW broker in Utah for a Property Management business I am partners in late last year.

Tell them to find a different lender , or find a different buyer ......Burning the cabin is not in their original contract.Otherwise, tell them they have to addendum the contract to add that the buyer will cover all expanses in burning the cabin, regardless of if the property closes to them or not .Never let someone else’s decisions expose you to risk.

So geographical barriers prevents new development - there's only so much land along the water, or so much land at the foot of a steep mountain.You'll know there can't be any major expansion unless they go inland, and you'll still have the better coastside property anyway.

Property has an easy expansion possibility in the garage, which will add 1000$ per sq/ft in value to the house.
