I'm new to the US, originally from Australia and trying to get my head around all things investing in Utah (currently residing).So much to learn, soaking in the differences (and similarities) between what I thought I knew in Aus and here in Utah.I've read so much my brain hurts, but I'm keen to learn everything I can about opportunities, wisdom and common mistakes here in the US!

Seems like the financial and bio-tech sectors are booming there.I am hesitant only because when I read about Ogden, so often there is mention of crime, drugs, sketchy tenants etc.Is there an agent that focuses on this area and that would be keen to discuss potential opportunities and the market there?

@Howard Abell  Mom and Pop for sure does not mean they are not keen to value.

I started reading Brandon's book today and am very keen to learn from forum members here. 

I am keen to begin investing in real estate.

That's why I'm very keen on being able to "own" the rehab phase of the process. 

Even from the beginning they were keen on negotiating their price based on telling me how much trouble they'll save me from.

They were so happy they didn't have to move and are excited about us being their new landlord as it seems the sellers prior were not keen on making any upkeep or simple fixes to the home.

I'll actually be more keen on considering Florida/Arizona multi-family property when I'm ready, but within Arkansas I would consider any part of the state.
