@Dale Snider - this sounds like a gamble to me.  

There was a tree we needed to cut down (very costly) and it bordered the property next door which the city owned.

Plus, not getting permits for electrical is taking a big gamble on liability.

That leaves us with remote investors - people who invest in real estate across state or national borders without actually living in the area. 

Before the moral revolutions of the late 1800's/early 1900's, virtually every city had a "red-light district" where all the undesirable stuff went - gambling, prostitution, homelessness, etc.

Then go buy another piece or land that borders protected land or land not at risk of adjacent development. 

Intrastate, or domestic, commerce is trade that occurs solely within the geographic borders of one state.

Plastic bin lids keep in stink much better. if you want to gamble on it, put up a fence to the side to be respectful so he doesn't have to look at it.

Just to give you a taste we discovered that our last Prez stole $24k from the reserve to gamble.
