We have a diverse economy here compared to the rest of Montana towns, but yet tourism always is a foundation of our economy.

Also, Orlando STR travel is primarily driven by theme park tourism and can be cyclical during the seasons and if god forbid there is another pandemic.I would also consider other markets.

Short term rentals have been pretty successful here, and tax credits for tourism projects such as small hotels make the returns even better.  

I'd think it's too densely populated with not enough tourism demand, but maybe your experience there is different? 

Something durable but light and simple to keep the focus on the moutains :) We are in a stange place as a society, tourism lost is freshness and speed but we are confident that some people will soon want to have the opporunity to sit, walk and relax in a place like this one we have in our heads.And if this project hatches and lives well, we would like to build the same type of "house" on another land that as the same type of criteria, beauty, calm, nature and some tourism.You toughts would be appreciated, have you any ideas on this topic (building short term rentals)?

If your choice of property is still in a decent area, with at least half the year drawing tourism, or having some sort of basic economy, you should be able to fill it.

It seems theres enough tourism to keep those beds full in peak and shoulder season though.

A well maintained unit with ocean view at either of those buildings can gross $5500-$6000k most months, but higher in the peak tourism months.
