Bob B. we installed french drains, added dirt around the foundation to push water away, added drains for gutters, and extended all downspouts away from the foundation.  

I am also a Navy Reserve officer and Judge Advocate (JAG) and occasionally move to accept assignments, then come back home. 

I attended couple of seminars, read books, researched on REI online and watched YouTube videos.I am currently in the Navy on active duty and want to do REI as a part time business and I know this platform will be the beginning of my success stories.Thank you all for your suggestions, encouragements and help.

Eglin AFB won't be closing, a multi-service training area, Navy ports won't change.

My husband is active duty navy and we have used the VA loan twice.

However the unit had a living room and a dining room, plus a kitchen big enough for a dining area, so we put french doors up to turn the living room into a 2nd bedroom, and got $600/mo rent up there!

Norfolk is a big base and should have some Navy Lodging nearby.
