I'll also state based on what you just posted that if the bank finds you "making a relationship" with their asset manager, they'd probably find a new asset manager and historically, based on my 25 years, an asset manager isn't going to jeopardize being spoon fed massive amounts of business just to appease one investor that doesn't want to wait like the rest of the market does. ...and I have no problem sitting on the sidelines watching that unfold.

I think the latter requirement could be overcome with a letter from the IRS confirming a $0 tax liability for the years requested; however, I haven't seen this scenario unfold as most people never take the time to fully understand the contracts they (don't) enter into. What are some situations you as an investor have faced that would normally require a tax return that you were able to work around and how so?

Letter vs Postcard

With a postcard, your message is right there in front of the person without them having to open the envelope, pull the letter out, unfold it, and read it.I know I don't bother to read something that 'looks like junk' - if it doesn't have the logo of a company I already pay money to on it, I'm very likely to peek in the envelope, go 'looks like junk', and bin it.It's worth trying both and monitoring the results though.
