So many ways to go about this but I've been enjoying immersing myself with knowledge through podcasts, books, and the mistakes of others from meeting RE investors at REIA and meetup groups.

By surrounding yourself with like-minded investors and immersing into the world of real estate you'll be able to accelerate your learning and take the action faster!

In the mean time though, I've been immersing all of my free-time in real estate information like the BP podcasts, books, forums, networking events, etc. and looking at deals in the market so I won't necessarily be a complete novice.

I'm semi fluent in spanish now, and have been practicing an hour or so a day 365 days a year, for 3 years so I'm anxious to immerse myself in a spanish speaking culture (I'm half deaf so it hasn't been easy!). 

I just learned about the 70% rule and debt-to-income and some other rules of thumb.All in all, what i'm trying to ask is, are there any important terms and/or concepts that I should really get to know before fully immersing myself into wholesaling?

I thought I knew something about real estate, but it took a minute to really grasp cap rates and certain asset management concepts.In my experience, immersion is the best way to learn.

Best to get immersed and keep your finger on the pulse. 

Over the past three years my business partner and I have fully immersed ourselves into this burgeoning market, finding various trends and ultimately opportunities along the way.Eight years ago, Me and my partner went all-in on real estate investing while the market was just beginning to turn back around.

I have 15 years of experience in investing in actively owned real estate and 3 years of very immersed experience in passive investing in private placements and it is still challenging to source and select conservative opportunities (particularly in today's market).  

It's been a great learning experience with several healthy headaches, but I'm definitely ready to make a move into a larger home with central AC as Texas temps break the 100's way too often.On the profession side, I spent the past 7 and a half years in insurance, and in mid-2017, I began saving up for the jump to real estate so I could immerse myself in the industry (and hopefully pick up a few good deals along the way).
