The right agent will have worked with Canadians before, will have lenders set up that can work with Canadians and will have a seamless process for management.Not only can an agent set you up with a GC, property manager, lawyer, insurance broker, inspector and everything else you need, they can analyze deals and put numbers in front of you.Your job as an investor is to vet the vendors they are providing and double check their analysis.  

I know there is of course no set rule out there but just curious on folk's experiences.Also curious to know folk's thoughts on what the CONSERVATIVE median $/sq ft for the Los Feliz / Silverlake area on LA is.Thanks all!

@Derick Jennings Without knowing more about your situation, I'd likely recommend a house hack, a strategy I wish I would have known about when I got started.

He is unlikely to fight back in court when everyone in the house is against him.When he is served notice, ensure everyone is in the home to witness it and present a unified front.
