My husband will get his real estate license & I will follow suit once our kids are at least in preschool.  

She's a pre-school teacher and asst. director at the Goddard School.  

I guess Real Estate investing 101 is too advanced for me, maybe I need Real Estate for preschoolers! 

In relation to your son going off to college, both my boys are pre-school age so making a move now does not require much strain in the changing schools and making new friends aspect.

As a mom who just sent my kid off to college, I'd be incredibly angry if my son did this after I've sacrificed and saved money for college for 18 years, volunteered countless hours for his schools starting in pre-school , worked late at night helping him study... 

It costs $2.5K/month just for pre-school here!

I travel 16 miles to my off-sight office a couple of days a week & pass at least 7 of these facilities & they all seem to be full.Two of them concentrate on teaching a Montessori experience to the preschoolers & they both have waiting lists.

Example: one guy who had 2 preschoolers was really nice and positive, but he had to coax his wife out of the car to see the property, and even then she barely glanced at it.

In addition to these concerns, the implementation of new taxes for initiatives like 'Preschool for All' and 'Metro Supportive Homeless Services' has pushed Portland into one of the top three highest tax rates in the United States.
