At this point, we know the breeds that we are permitted and how we are going to structure the lease.As for the the tenants, we have decided to not require insurance only strongly recommend it, pointing out in the lease where our liability ends and their begins.

From everything I've read the last day you can't discriminant against the breed, size, or training of the animal so we requested to meet the dog and make sure he was at least friendly.

I do not want pets in my units and we have a No Pet Policy in place, however we will consider it if someone wants to move in with a pet, but it has to be a pet that is not on the Insurance list of breeds not insurable and they have to agree to our Pet Addendum which I have attached below.

Also, if there are any Insurance issues (coastal, inground tanks, Knob & Tuber wiring, tenants with certain breeds of dogs, etc.) that may affect the answer.
