Las Vegas- Always something to do

I have no experience whatsoever in real estate, but I recently decided I'm going to purchase a condo in the Las Vegas area for 100-200k.

The prices here in Las Vegas make it difficult to find good deals as well.

Here in Las Vegas there is over a 1 year supply of homes based on the current sales pace.

Spend 1k to take a trip to Las Vegas, that's your big reward for doing 1 flip.

That being said, how likely would it be to locate such deals in declining markets such as mine (Las Vegas) in which the only apparent opportunities to profit at enough of a discount are dominated by short sales and REOs, as the majority of owners motivated to sell are those who are severely underwater (75% of every mortgage holder in Vegas).

I’m in Las Vegas and it is like that here too.

It was always difficult REI in Van so I set up in Indianan, Georgia and the Las Vegas.

In addition, I am a certified resident in Las Vegas.

The latest numbers are out for the Las Vegas real estate market.October:For the 2nd straight month there were fewer than 1,000 homes sold with 974 closings reported (990 in Sept).Prices are down 11.4% from Oct 2006, sales are down 42.3% from a year ago.
