Jeff B, I think most of the blame for the real estate crash belongs squarely on the heads of the people who bought what they couldn't afford, and are now whining about it, or walking away.But at this point, the banks are doing such ill-thought-out things that they are holding the market down.Lots of deserved blame, too, to Congress (both parties) for giving the banks billions without specifying what the money was to be used for.

Their contractors claimed that they were being treated like employees, and Microsoft had to shell out billions in benefits and IRS payments to settle the suits.If Microsoft can get screwed because of gray areas in employee/contractor law, certainly little guys like me can as well.Add to that the fact that many of my employees spend at least 50% of their time working on just my projects, and the risk of being viewed as employees -- if I didn't have strong Independent Contractor Agreements -- is very real.
