He says he doesn't think we can close with this price.He did mention one thing which I found odd...The generally accepted protocol in Atlanta, unlike other parts of the country, is that an offer of less than 90% of asking price is not a "bona fide" offer.

Its odd because more than half of downtown is vacant, and its not hard to find lease space just as nice for less than half of what they are going to be charging.

There are a few things I would check before pulling the trigger, the first is the actual value of the house, it seems odd that the market value could be lower but check and see, the other is to make sure there is rental demand.
