Even if it has a tenant you will run into issues: wind storm damages roof/siding, water heater needs replacing, dishwasher dies, etc.If you live in a place where you rent the spare bedroom it will be easier.

It's unclear whether the majority of these kitchen appliances are "new".I came across a place here in town that sells restored/used appliances.A lot of their inventory is slightly damaged/ dented, but there were some beautiful fridges, dishwashers, ranges that looked brand new.

Hey @Cassandra Jade, I agree you don't want to leave whole entire piles of supplies laying out but you do need to leave a bit more IMHO.I used to leave the whole container of Cascade dishwasher pods.
