Check the furnace filter, make sure downspouts are attached/down, ensure tenant is caring for landscaping, check on smoke detectors, are there evidence of pests, does it look like more people are living here then indicated on your lease, and finally is there evidence of pets not on the lease.

One tenant's unit is very apparent that a lot of weed is smoked in the unit which is illegal in SD so I dont have much experience with that. 3. 3 of the 4 units ranges are older and look like they could need to be replaced soon4. 3 of the 4 refrigerators look like they need to be replaced. 5.
