@Jonathan Greene I don't mind them generally but when they raise huge amounts for syndications that go south that is another story.

As @Eli Konig mentioned above, going into RE right now without a lot of experience and without knowledge of a local market I think makes TK a decent beginning option.I've been in communication with REI and going through their process right now.

I really scaled up my number of doors the last couple of years and didn't bring any new processes to the table and it feels like a mess.

Having a GC that will provide good documentation, itemized receipts, etc. will make the process much easier I've noticed. 

I feel like that sounds simple but in reality would hold up the leasing process for tenants that are not proactive. 

So talking with your Realtor on scenarios that truly are likely may help you speed up your search and offer process, and help you find a great spot.

Renting out one side can help offset your mortgage, which is a huge advantage while you're building financial stability.

@Grace Chee The process for this is time sensitive, you should have gotten a TRIM notice around late August, early September.

Keep an eye on those delinquency rates and ensure that the property manager is proactive in rent collection.Maintaining open lines of communication with property managers is also part of the process.
