Also PLEASE avoid the L-shaped configuration when putting two beds in a room, in my opinion it looks terrible and cheap.

Spreadsheet or just a Note file to jot down configuration of the units (purchase date of appliances, model #, paint color and sheen, etc.).Yeah, you could use or pay for some sort of software, but everybody I've talked to ALWAYS finds its a least a bit short.
