Then I joined a real estate club, asked 4 million questions, studied forums and just went out and did it.

To get started, educate yourself on real estate investing, join local investment groups, analyze the market, prepare financially, find suitable properties, and analyze the deal.

I was interested in commercial and investment property, so joined a mid size commercial brokerage as a broker - associate.Most brokers/agents at that time, even more so than today, did not “specialize’, at least with very specific parameters.

If you have a local real estate investment association or club (REIA) join and attend. 

Go to local meet ups, join local facebook groups, talk to realtors, etc.

In Florida, can a newly licensed RE agent (not a Realtor and not yet working for a broker)  join  MLS independently  or do they have to join a local board or  the NAR first?
