The view this property had made it special and the way the sunlight shone into the condo made it a perfect 1st home buy for my family.

It would be interesting to see other views.

Some times it's easier to just identify a possible property and the first you check before even scheduling a viewing, is check the STR rules on that address.  

Proximity to downtown, a mountain view, certain amenities?

I also suspect home prices would initially rise on the first 1-1.5% of cuts, but ultimately fall once we get to the 3-4% range as large  pre-pandemic supply comes back online, compounded by boomer land lords selling realizing the top of the market is in the rear view mirror (at least for them).If you eventually get squeezed on lower rents and valuations as the market normalizes, the ability to BRRR your pandemic era deals will be limited, so how do avoid trapping capital in the deals you already own from this environment? 

Costa Rica is expensive and it generally doesn't work from a pure investment point of view, unless you're not very demanding from an ROI point of view.
