People there work in tourism and there is not a lot of opportunity for higher rents like we have here.

That greatly hurt tourism.

Our initial thought was to get a condo and rent it as an Airbnb as we are familiar with the tourism in that area.

And I have a cousin who had flashbacks from Vietnam for decades after he came back. 

We have a little more tourism than we thought we would have when we got started - we're in a small city 35 miles from the beach in NC.

I’d think fewer people would be looking there due to the off season in tourism (but I could be totally wrong!).

I am looking to make my first investment property purchase and have always been really interested in the Florida real estate market, mainly Orlando due to constant tourism.

Literally, two back to back messages from them read:Accommodation Tax and Tourism Development Tax is the same.TDT Tax is not a collected tax by Airbnb.I'm pulling my hair out and have already thrown my phone across the room. 

Tourism is up higher than last year as of right now!

From everything I see on this website and from the Book on Rental Property Investing, nothing in my area really fits the model deals, but with appreciation and new tourism I hope getting my foot in the door will be worth it and then I can look elsewhere for the future.
