Although traveling the world playing music is fun, it doesn't come with a 401k. 

Not the greatest flick ever or anything but I got a kick out of it.In a similar vein, I'm a bit of a music nerd and recently watched the new 2112 video put out by the band Rush (youtube).

I would like to start treating my music more like an actual small business and be smarter with how I invest my money into it.

It isn't like he is blasting music or having wild house parties. 

I've changed from listening to music to having BiggerPockets podcasts on while I workout now, have a list of reads ready, and am continuing to meet up with people in the area! 

At one point a few years ago, Austin City Council started requiring homeowners to have a permit (for their own homes) to rent out their houses whenever SXSW or ACL music fest would come to town.

Perhaps even see what the response time is to potential calls or requests for showings.Do a few drive by's of the property and maybe spend some time walking the neighborhood to see if you have something at the micro level going on (think: loud music shaking houses on the block or constant sirens).

After reading Rich Dad Poor Dad, I kicked my financial education into gear, taking control of my personal cashflow management for the first time ever, and began to develop a much greater sense of financial purpose beyond 'pay rent / buy stuff'.Towards the end of 2011 I started my first commercial business, a catering company that targeted week or weekend long music festivals in Australia.

There is some overbuilding now and it's like a game of musical chairs in that some developers will lose if they did not plan correctly for a long horizon to wait to the next cycle.
