I would just take a semester worth of easy electives and put all my focus on getting the re licence and gradually start from there.  

The first time the guy tried to threaten me with a fictitious sewer easement, claiming my sewer goes through his property.

I finally found through the MLS that he is a licenced DB in the state and active with the bar...got his email, and politely emailed him every day for two weeks. until he finally responded. 

I know Real Estate Licences are encouraged and I agree but is it crucial to have before I proceed on?

I have copies of their drivers licences and social security numbers but have no good idea on how to track them down.  

Additionally, in most, not all, provinces you will also run afoul of the law/regulator if you market real estate you do not own without a licence.  

I just eventually came to understand that number over in the lower right hand corner - the after tax cash flow five years from now - was totally fictitious.

Does this only relate to work requiring a licence? 

You should know that I'm a licenced agent and can get accurate ARVs and am pretty good at estimating costs of repairs.
