I just put in a new dishwasher in my 3/2 SRF, but the kitchen is standard 1990s oak and I won't get any more for stainless steel, so I put in white.

Interested in what the process has been like for you in terms of finding the place, finding an agent (or not), negotiating with seller,  and general ups and downs you've had in your search.Curious as I am currently looking to buy and rent it out with a roommate or two to help finance mortgage and other expenses and am interested in that Royal Oak or Ferndale area.

They are solid oak with slightly chamfered edges rather than the sharp 90-degree in the photos.

In older homes, oak was commonly used as a subfloor, then carpeting was put over it.
