You get the money from your "Private" life and do not have to secure financing in the sector with institutional money. 

Where in the Chicago area do you invest?

My partner and I bought a home in South Florida end of 2021 with the intent of doing a small Reno and then airbnb/vrbo and then blocking out the dates we wanted to use the property.  

Are their any creative ways to help with the downpayment or would a partner be the only route? 

When in reality, what you see 2023-fwd is reversion to the mean, and folks thought 2010-2020 was the mean.With such a high barrier of entry, the one's on the sidelines aren't really on the sidelines.
