Once it's down if can't be taken apart.Key thing is to get the thicker type for more durability.Don't know how well noise travels with either.

A poorly done paint job is worse than not painting at all.amen. prepping those old wood cabinets is key. i've redone my kitchen by sanding (not very heavy) the cabinets down, then applying primer (2 coats), then some semi-gloss Sherwin Williams urethane trim enamel with great results: https://www.sherwin-williams.c...

Exterior painting no clue, is it the whole house, is it just trim is it wood or siding, what is the condition and how much scraping needs to be done, how many coats, colors?

As one example, I'm using empty steel barrels to support my vanities, I'll have exposed ductwork and electrical conduit, and I'm just using a clear coat epoxy over the existing container floors.

The wearlayer is just clear coat over the color to protect it and has really nothing to do with scuff or scratch resistance.
