When my husband flips the breaker apparently the kitchen and the laundry rooms had no power as well (all these spaces being on the same side of the house) but he didn't realize it because the house is well lit in the daytime and he had no reason to go in the laundry room until he flipped the breaker.The husband was sitting in the driveway so I go out there and I try to talk to him to diffuse the situation because this seems like odd behavior to me.

I don't know that your tenant will like it if they feel like they are being "monitored" in their back yard, but even a fake camera can go a long way toward deterring unwanted behavior by the neighbors.

I think the more common tenant tactic here would be to complete their current lease (through, say, June), sign another through June 2016, and then break THAT lease when they needed to move in October 2015.Giving essentially a year of notice of an issue, and then actively trying to find a replacement tenant, doesn't really strike me as egregious behavior, given their other possible tactics.

From reading between the lines, it seems like Thomas S. isn't advocating illegal behavior, but asking what external triggers give you pause, or might cause you to look within your legal rights to deny an applicant.

Nonetheless, being an owner of 2 dogs that are being discriminated against before they're even given a chance is frustrating to say the least.I did do some basic behavior training with the older dog (also required by the humane society), but never went further than I was required to.
