Install ceiling fans.

If the sheetrock was water damaged between the roof and the ceiling, it might have needed to be replaced.

Of course, I need wholesale costs.Work needed:  Ceilings scraped and retextured, canned lighting, Flooring throughout, kitchen and bath remodel, front door replaced/reframed, back door replace with slider.  

The inspector did point out some evidence of water damage on the ceiling and stated it might be from the upstairs bathroom...it tested negative for moisture but probably bc the unit was vacant at the time. 

We also noticed repair work on the ceiling hinting that it may have been previously repaired and he stated that it probably was remedied. 

Older homes in our area often have a functioning forced air furnace with ducts for all 1st floor rooms but gravity registers (basically holes-with-grills through the 1st fl ceiling/2nd fl floor) for the 2nd floor.  

The unit above had a flood so ceilings need to be painted and the unit itself had a flood and needs flooring replaced.

The bank accepted an offer on an REO condo in Chicago, but the inspector found a small patch of mold (probably the size of a fist) on the bathroom ceiling.

The pipe is in our ceiling and we live on the fifth floor.

(The walls are the junk and the entire house has drop ceilings).
