In my hall closet was an open utility access, for the back of the bathtub I think.

Sometimes they've let small maintenance issues go; we find out after they move that a closet door is off the track, the garbage disposal doesn't work, some of the window blinds are broken or jammed, light bulbs not working, holes in the walls from picture frames, tub stoppers missing, smoke detector batteries dead.

Are they going to fold up into a suit case you can just put on a shelf in the closet?

Truck mounted rigs are almost always preferred, but speaking as someone who cleaned carpets with portable commercial units once upon a time. a portable commercial machine can get good results - it just takes longer.

For reference, it's stacked, with the washer on the bottom and the gas dryer on top in a custom closet, it's fully enclosed with one of those vented folding doors on it.

Of course, the flashlight is useful for looking at things in dark spaces even with electricity on, things like the heater tags (to see when it was made), crawl spaces, and closets for example.
