You can cook just about anything in our kitchen.

@David DeLancey  Hard / Private money is probably going to be the way to go as pot is still illegal at the federal level. 

So far this is what I learned:1) There will be time set by cook county tax sale to register for an upcoming sale. 

No different than if you want to purchase a restaurant and you plan on cooking yourself. 

The lodges are all first class with chefs cooking us breakfast and dinner first class booze etc..

I already converted out one gas heat property to electric so the only gas bill we have across over 40 properties is for cooking stoves and domestic hot water for one seven unit building.

Policies in CA change faster than coffee pots at Starbucks.My question is how and where do you guys gather information about local county laws regarding SRT and REI in general?

Nothing really salvageable even if it wasn't a cook shop.  

@Dennis Callaghan, look at it this way, if a husband and a wife have an argument at home because she did not cook dinner for him, and the wife reaches out to you and tells you they had an argument about it, does it mean that you have to make sure the husband is fed? 

Unless you already have a plateful, have a big pot of money to invest or are going to knock on doors I think it seems you can do both with reasonable success using available tools.
