I'm a physician (with stable W2 income higher than yours) and my spouse was Senior enlisted military when we went to buy our house (with a lower monthly mortgage than yours) in 2012.  

I could not do that with a full time job as a resident and now a practicing physician. 

In both cases, the primary complication post-diagnosis has been the person feeling “normal” again at some point and taking their self off medication without physician oversight and/or an objective 3rd party helping to evaluate the result.

My health was failing, my weight was in the stratosphere, and I was told by a physician that I would definitely become the richest man in the graveyard.

What is also clear is that although the quality of care via the VA is considered by most to be sufficient, the beauracracy and lengthy wait times to see anyone other than a general physician is mind blowing.

I would rather have a higher deductible plan but haven't found one I like yet.Another option would be a health savings account.Don't ask me which insurance company I like best, as I am a physician by profession and hate them all!!

I am a physician and have recently terminated my solo practice 401K plan as the fees were quite high and I want to now rollover about $600K to a self-directed IRA so I can invest in real estate, notes, etc.  

However there was a house here in 1989 it burnt down, the water lines have been there for over 10 years, so this is simply a prescriptive easement, not considering the possibility for an easement by necessity.
