I run into this all the time being west coast based by the time i wire out to fund.. it hits the closer at like 4pm and now the seller is sitting there grinding on them wanting a paper check for their proceeds .. out this way nothing is paper check its all wires.

When the cleaners clean the bedroom, there's literally a cardstock with a greeting  on the pillows and inside the fridge there's some paper food note for them to enjoy the stay.

Most importantly, they are often in areas that have less complex barriers to clear title for resale.Just my long 0.02 san berdo and Riverside county CA are poster childs for tax sales.. as these counties have hundreds of thousands of platted lots many with no access .. just lines on paper.
