We toured their manufacturing facility a few weeks ago and liked what we saw. 

Is the low price because this would be considered a manufactured home? 

Good news for Austin overall, but Austin's Colony is a long way from being the next Westlake Hills.your right  the reason these companies move out of greater Bay area is the price of housing.. and they cant pay the wages for a manufacturing job that allows workers to live anywhere near the facility.. the Fremont facility the average price I am going to guess is right at about 750k to 1 mil for a 1600 sq ft to 2k sq ft home..

Ford Motor Co. has just announced they will be building a new manufacturing plant approximately 12 miles from this property which is scheduled to come on line in 2025.  

My most popular STR is a manufactured home as a cabin in the middle of dozens of acres of forest, which I paid cash for back before things skyrocketed.

I work in the electrical industry for a major circuit breaker / panel board manufacture. 

Of course a higher efficiency condensing unit will cost more because it required more research and development and better manufacturing. 

@Daniel Durbin You may want to check with the local government entity in your area in charge of titling and re-titling manufactured homes.

I checked other properties that are definitely mobile/manufactured and they are classified as "Manufactured".So, it's not a MOBILE home anymore... the house is quite stationary.
