i've also been searching for a lender for our company (has only 8 months credit development).i had a guy telling me that if i personally guaranteed an investment loan that it would only show as an inquiry on my credit report. in fact, i've had many different lenders say this.

The the actual loan was processed in Florida and up the line I found out the company only had 3 vendors they used and wound up shopping my loan on an open call system.I got 3 inquiries on my credit and a loan officer that couldn't read investor tax returns.

you can get your credit score on a number of sites experian.com, equifax.com, transunion. com but if you are asking how to eatablish credit than you dont even have to worry about getting your score. you can establish credit pretty easily, get a credit card , i'm not sure how they rank someone with no credit history but dont do a whole bunch of applications all over. every inquiry they make will drop your credit score.heres a list of card providers STARTER BK CARDS: score bad1.

Does checking your own Fico score (like on myfico.com) count as an inquiry on your report?

Got 5.785 October before last at a large bank as an investment loan but have high FICO, no inquiries on my credit for a year and little debt.

It's OK to contact various lenders and check rates. points etc. but remember to do so in a short period of time because inquiries from as few as 4 lenders on your credit will read "risky" to all lenders.

Ask them before they do the increase whether this will result in a hard inquiry on your credit report.
