I live in very close proximity to a major air force base and have quite a bit of contact with military personnel - and the overwhelming opinion amongst them is that the wire-tap program is an extremely useful tool in being able to protect our country.And I know how Iraq was before, and I think some of the reason we even went after Saddam is because the former President Bush wasn't able to get him - so I think it's a bit of a revenge factor and it's yet to be seen if democracy will work over there.
