I was replacing all the old metal outlet boxes so it was not an issue with moving them all out to compensate for the extra depth.

Metal mesh was being attached to the studs and then plastered over to create the finished walls and ceilings.

I didn't want to pay plumbers $95/hour to tear out ceilings and walls so my husband and  our handyman tore out the two layers of ceiling drywall over lathe and plaster and a metal mesh.

Thanks Account Closed, between paying off debt and trying to save for a venture into RE, it would likely be quite some time before I'd be in a position to allocate anything toward precious metals.

I am holding precious metals until it collapses then investing in real estate.
