If you need more headroom or the illusion of it and are good with a little more work, I would tear out the fails ceiling and use a paint sprayer to paint the floor trusses, ducts, plumbing, and wiring dark gray or white which is what I did in my personal home which only has 7’ ceilings in the basement.

The only thing is that the profits earned must go back into the SDIRA account, but the money can be used over and over again as it grows in the account.Very Respectfully,Chauncy Gray

My guess is this is still a gray area as most states didn’t foresee how fast short term rentals would take off.

Carpet gets it dirty from it, the gray dust works into it. 

As we have noticed for a while now the trending design for homes is modern with the “gray and white” color scheme. 

My favorite color to use is Agreeable Gray from Benjamin Moore.

Another thing I do is paint it Agreeable Gray with an accent wall in the living room.
