Now I know people who live in the desert who do. :-)You might as well compare the price of the average vacation in the 70’s.

I have been a real estate broker for 20 years in NYC and have bought and sold 6 condos, and homesbut am new in Palm Desert Ca and want to try doing subject to deals?

He got very heated, wanted to meet in the desert, bring my favorite shootin' iron and we'd have this out. 

They do what they can and there is some level of trust involved between all parties..as long as we all follow all of the rules, whether we like it or not - we follow the rules and we are covered.Case in point - I once had a complete, ground-up, custom build in the desert of San Diego County.....somewhere south of Borrego Springs if you know where that is.

Hi Blaine..the low season in the desert is May-September.

Mostly square miles of farms going to dust. 5 gallons of water per avocado grown in their deserts last I heard. 

Evaporative cooling is great in the desert Southwest, but people from anywhere else in the country do not understand that the A/C (Swamp cooler) and the furnace use the same venting system and only one can be utilized...this is uncomfortable in a month or two in the fall or spring as it is too hot or cold for portions of the day.

Or like the food desert thing. 

I was talking to few of my friends and they suggested to look around North Phoenix, Desert ridge & Chandler. 

Emotionally, I would go with Scottsdale "city tag" sound better than "PHOENIX" :)Rationally, however, I think both area have very similar chracteristic, I'd say Desert Ridge is more crowded than Grayhawk though
