Does anybody own duplexes in this area, or know how the rental climate is in Tremont?  

The state has beautiful weather but it's not the most friendly climate for real estate investment!!  

Does anyone have advice or education about renting a single family home and ADA issues...seems to me that the climate is ripe for litigation on ADA issues...and the folks that bring the suite always prevail.

I live in Denver, so hopefully since it isn’t a climate the bugs normally thrive in treating the unit will take care of the the problem.

Given both the prices and the political climate on the west coast, it seems the way to go.Nobody can tell you that everything is going to be OK, but seems like you are being wise. 

We're on the edge of the spring market for colder climate cities, which includes Baltimore. 

We are rustbelt no more, a climate haven with plenty fresh water and no other major natural disasters like hurricanes or earthquakes and relatively low cost of living.

Also, the slab can crack in a cold (freezing) climate, but you will have to find out if that is an issue in St.

Even if it’s been winterized (cold climates) there is no guarantee it was done properly or before pipes froze. 

Roads in this area reqiure more maintenance than on average in LA due to the climate.
