It is a unique situation and as I re-read my post, it does sound bad.  

There is likely much more to this than you may have been able to share on here and again, it is fair to give you the credit in that you are just gathering information but if what you initially wrote holds water I would certainly re-read @Joe Martella 's reply again.

And remember, that turnkey is a key word here.As for the inspection of the home, I think everyone should re-read what Geoff was told.  

I just re-read the contract. 

I read a different book specifically about apartment investing several years ago, I think it was Crushing It in Apartments and Commercial Real Estate, but to be honest I need to re-read it.The essence of what I'm getting from Greene's book and what I remember of the apartment book is "build a team and systematize everything."

After reading and rereading our contract, it states mandatory mediation is required before going to court.

I just reread my HELOC paperwork and there are no conditions the Credit Union can freeze or call the loan UNLESS I do something first - miss payment, do something I've agreed not to do, etc. 

My first step would be to reread the email and call them.
