I didn't expect that, while during the show, I was not sure about the original state of the door lock as people visiting the house might unlock the door from inside, so before I left, I locked it for safety When they arrived home, they immediately sent an email asking me return to unlock that door for them, then less than 20 minutes, they sent another threatening email saying that if I didn't return timely, they would hire a locksmith to break the door lock and I would be responsible for the fee.

Fast forward 4 months, we find that while the first 3 months rent was sent on time, the 4th month rent was first told will be delayed, and when I pushed back, she communicated that she had moved out but there was someone living there who doesn't have a key but would leave a door or window unlocked to get in and out of the property.

Unfortunately I have come across this issue in the stare of Virginia and I will ask again for maintenance to unlock and open the wooden door 1 inch away from a in wall unit that may have gas heat all I know so far it is a one unit ac with heat.
